Brewing The Maximum Learning Environment

Brewing The Maximum Learning Environment

The upcoming microbrewery in the newly renovated Lory Student Center at Colorado State University is intended to maximize student learning by functioning as a “production” setting, to give students in the Fermentation Science and Technology program the opportunity for experiential learning, similar to the model employed by the student-run Aspen Grille, also at the LSC. With only a glass wall separating the brewery from the Ramskellar, the public is invited to be a part of the process and watch what CSU students are creating. The LSC supports education, so profits from the brewery will go to the FST program.

To ensure the microbrewery represents CSU as best as possible, there will be a beautiful brewing system in place, along with other equipment that is state-of-the-art.

The new microbrewery will celebrate the rich history at CSU between academics and industry by serving student-crafted beers next to contemporary beers brewed by those who share our passion for excellence to be enjoyed by alumni, students, parents, and friends.
