The CSU Marching Band will kick things off, performing as the academic processional for the investiture ceremony proceeds down the center of the Oval toward the stage at the steps of the Administration Building.

About the program

Presidential Ambassador Erin Ellis, a senior majoring in human development and family studies, will serve as emcee for the event. After presentation of the colors by the Wing Walker Honor Guard, master’s student Kristy Shuck will sing the National Anthem, backed by the Marching Band.

The formal program will include remarks by Associated Students of Colorado State University President Nick DeSalvo, Board of Governors Chair Armando Valdez and CSU System Chancellor Tony Frank. Faculty Council Chair Melinda Smith will serve as mace bearer. Following the investiture ceremony, featuring the presentation of the presidential medallion and mace, Parsons will deliver her first fall address.

The event will conclude with performances of the Alma Mater by the CSU Concert Choir and the CSU Fight Song by the Marching Band.
