Colorado State University has long been a leader in wildfire research, studying every aspect of fire science from known risks and prevention planning to rebuilding homes and replanting forests.

As the burning season stretches across more of the calendar and fires engulf more acres around the world, more disaster managers are looking to the University for expertise and leadership. Every college at CSU has programs dedicated to wildland fire research, and in July, the MarComm communications team showcased just some of the ways scientists are helping to deal with its impacts on the health, safety, and economics of a warming planet, in a SOURCE special report.
