Jay Norvell, who led the Nevada Wolf Pack to four bowl games in five seasons as head coach, has become the 24th head football coach at Colorado State University.

Athletic Director Joe Parker made the announcement on Dec. 6, 2021. Steve Addazio concluded his two-season tenure at CSU with a 4-12 record.

Norvell’s experience reaches to all corners of college and professional football. He has spent time in the Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12, and NFL. He is the first Black head coach in CSU program history, and the first sitting head coach to be hired since Earle Bruce in 1989.
