Generations of Rams know Horsetooth Reservoir and its surrounding Larimer County open space as a scenic recreational retreat just minutes west of campus, offering opportunities for kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and more outdoor activities. It also supplies water for drinking and agricultural irrigation to Northern Colorado as one of 11 reservoirs in the federal Colorado-Big Thompson Project.
